heroinnnnnnn, be the death of me !

okay, i'm going to give this a whirl again. i'm NOT going to catch you guys up on the months i haven't been updating, because that would be annoying and i don't want to, but i'll fill you in on SOME stuff.

i was out of work for like one billion weeks recently because i gravely injured my back. i have an old injury, and i mysteriously reinjured it a few weeks ago. it was rough- i couldn't get out of bed, i couldn't stand up, and laying in bed was making it way worse. i ended up getting a prescription for vicodin, which i was reluctant to take, but a regimen of vicodin and aleve (and sleeping on my side on the couch) got me to a point where i can like... mostly walk around. it really hurts if i stand still for a long time, but walking isn't too bad and sitting up isn't too bad and sleeping isn't too bad.

sciatica

i'm back at work now, but as a result of laying around for like 2 weeks in my livingroom, basically unable to do anything, a few things happened:

1) i finally learned how to use the appletv and started... watching television. i have a tough time paying attention to television or really WATCHING any show because i just tune it out, but there were entire days where i could literally do nothing but lay on my side facing the telvision. i watched all of parks and recreation, which i loved- actual feminist main character who identifies as feminist, and only ONE JOKE in all 3 seasons that has disappointed me ("on a scale of one to chris brown, how mad is he?"). i was cautious watching the first three seasons because i figured it would turn into a moronic rape joke bonanza like 30 rock, but so far it's smart and funny without selling out women. oh and uh, i also watched top chef.

parks and recreation

2) there was a wasp or hornet in my livingroom and it made me insane. it was a baby, and it landed on me several times without stinging me, so... i decided it thought i was its mother and that it would never sting me. i spent days feebly trying to prevent my cat from attacking him and i named him rodney, and then i leaned on him by accident and he stung my elbow. after four hours of deliberation, i flushed him down the toilet, and i've never felt so guilty. the sting didn't leave a mark for the first two days, but then became so itchy and inflamed that i thought it was infected. it seems to be clearing up now though. alas poor rodney.

rodney

3) i spent a lot of time with biz, my middle school best friend who coincidentally also lives here. she kept me company while i was immobile and dirty and complaining constantly.

toward the end of the week, i was actually able to move a little bit, so i made myself a pair of those stupid twilight mittens :( i'll be done with them tonight, probably. i bought a red/blue/white plaid jacket that only has half sleeves, so i decided to make a pair of red mittens to keep my arms warm.

i also made myself another star-crossed slouchy beret (also berocco vintage, in 'tidepool') but i'm never going to wear it because i hate how i look in hats !

hmm. what else? i dropped all of my classes for this semester (i am just too anxious lately and i need some time off to take a breather and reorient) and i really, really need to finish my genocide paper. i just completely choked like i never have in my entire life, ever. i've been doing lots of reading and have my research organized, but the longer i put this paper off, the less i want to do it. i recently got to hang out with my friend natalie (another friend from middle school, who is also great) and she very very sternly chided me about how i need to get this done and not let it hang over my head for the rest of my life (or at least the rest of my school career), and she's totally right. so, maybe soon i'll take a weekend to work on the paper.

not this weekend, though- this weekend, i'm going to brooklyn to adopt a beautiful white fluffy dreamboat cat. i'm sufficiently healed, i think, after weirdo's death from kidney failure, and i'm ready for the cat of my dreams. there's a few things i have to do this week which may be difficult (lots of cleaning and rearranging, which is going to hurt my back) to get ready for the cat, but i think it's worth it.

kitty

his current name is mr. puffins buttttt i'm going to change it. he's 10 years old and only has one tooth and is a big fluffy dreamboat and he's beautiful and i already love him. he's basically my dream cat- his m.o. is to curl up next to you and sleep and is into a LITTLE petting but isn't a petting maniac like my current cat. i'm excited and can't wait to get him and can't wait for him to be best buds with pizza and to put on a fancy dress and pet him all the time and eat out of a goblet with him.

this is a little harried because i have to get back to work, but i swear i'll write much more thorough and better entries in the future. if i keep this up, which i may not.

somewhere, some time

i haven't had a lot of time to update lately because i've been so busy with work and life and school ! sorry guys !

i had the best weekend in awhile this weekend- on friday, ryann, mike, jeanne, and ned picked me up (in a rented prius ! 5 people in a prius including one big person and one tall person ! but it really wasn't bad) and we drove to new jersey to stay with ryann's friend eric for the night. we ate at a diner once we got there and our waitress was super fucking high and really neat. i truly cannot remember what i ate, because it seems like a million years ago. eric is a great host and had lots of places to sleep, but i slept on the floor because of my back. it was probably like... the worst night's sleep ever (only because i was sore and sick) but i wasn't tired at all when i woke up ! we stopped to get breakfast, and then proceeded on to brattleboro, vermont.

mike

we got lunch at a place we thought wouldn't be opened, one of many places named vegetarian paradise- it's a vegan jamaican restaurant. they brought us out a platter with blobs of all of the dishes on the menu (not a huge menu but there was some variety) so we could taste them before ordering (!!!!). everything was delicious, but we all ended up getting curry chunks (which i think was wheat gluten) with cabbage or kale and rice and beans. ryann also got a ginger beer and it was like... the most intense delicious spicy ginger beer of all time. mike and i also got vegetable patties (which jeanne and mike relentlessly called hot pockets- culturally insensitive) which were delicious and kind of spicy. they also had a store attached which mostly sold like... hats with fake dreads attached and 'jah is my co-pilot' bumper stickers, but i ended up buying this tiger hat.

tiger hat

we were making good time and had a pretty fast trip up to new hampshire- ryann is a great driver, ned was an excellent dj, and mike was good at farting and reading maps. jeanne didn't do much but touch my butt a bunch to buckle her seatbelt- i've had better, but i like jeanne. the pumpkin festival was insane- it was super super packed with a billion cool jack-o-lanterns and food vendors and kids in costumes ! i got terrified by people in old man costumes several times. there was also a grilled cheese and tomato soup booth so i didn't even have to have a vegetarian-at-the-fair all french fry day ! here's some stuff:

stupid horse

pumpkin

ned and mike

that last picture is ned and mike eating barf in a cone (which some people were calling 'pumpkin pie in a cone'). there was a beautiful historic theater there playing free cartoons all day, so when we got tired and cold, we went inside and watched looney toons for like 2 hours. i was surprised at how funny and weird and fucking grim they were? i didn't really pay much attention to them when i was a kid (aside from pete puma) so i never noticed, but like... every single one ended with accidental suicide.

what's opera doc

after that, we went to see the pumpkins all lit up and walked around some more and i almost peed my pants and we went to a neat little bookstore ! i also had the disappointment of my life when i went to a fudge stall and got what i thought was a chocolate covered caramel apple, and it was just... a chocolate covered apple. GROSS. is that a real thing people eat????? i was shocked but everyone made fun of me and didn't feel bad for me.

we went to our hotel room after that and i had such a good night. i was super super super cornholio'd out on sugar and everyone just barely put up with me, and i ended up getting the best night's sleep i've had in forever. maybe i should always sleep in a room with four sleeping people ! in the morning, we ate continental breakfast (ooh la la) and headed out to providence, rhode island. holy shit, providence is cute ! the houses looked like dollhouses and there was a good record store and and and it was great. we ate at julian's, where i had the best most delicious bloody mary ever, sweet potato hash (which was delicious), a french toast, home fries, and an omelette with avocado, black beans, and tomato. holy shit ! there bathroom also had this case of star wars guys

star wars guys

the drive home took considerably longer, but we made a few stops and listened to weird al and i got to ride up front with mike, which was neat. unfortunately we're both tyrants and he won the ipod tyrant contest by holding the ipod in his lap so i couldn't reach for it. i maintain that everyone would've loved my cool music playlist even if they wouldn't have, and also didn't.

anywayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy i had the best time, and new england is beautiful, and i didn't feel anxious once- not even in keene, where my cellphone didn't have reception for an entire day. being "disconnected" or far from home are two of my biggest anxiety triggers, and the whole time i was having such a good time that i didn't want it to end and was never anxious to get home. mike, jeanne, ryann, and ned are all neat and hilarious and i haven't laughed that much in a million years.

nowwwww i have to get ready for class- i'm behind on my school work and it's causing me stress.

these eyes will stay wide

basically i don't want to talk about anything except how nervous i am about school. i'm really scared ! what if everyone hates me ! what if i'm not smart enough ! or rather, not... academic-y enough ! i have to write a ten page paper for the genocide class which is making me really fucking nervous- not just the paper writing stuff, which is huge because i don't really remember how to write a research paper, but because of my procrastination issues. i somehow managed to get this done when i was 18, though, so maybe i can pull it off now?

research paper

this is the part of the syllabus that makes me most nervous, though:

Each student will be asked to choose a date to guide the classroom discussion for the first 30 minutes of class.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what the fuck ! why would you do that to me ! why ! i'm pretty good in front of audiences and i'm not shy or anything, but i'm.. not a college person and don't know how to do this junk !

in other sad nerd news, i actually dressed up for my first day of school? my mom sent me an email this morning that said, "i wish i was there to braid your hair on the first day!" me too, mom. me too. i'm wearing:

dress
with a wide black belt

shoes

and two of my coworkers have said i looked cute, which of course i found annoying because i hate coworkers talking about my body or appearance. because i'm the dourest feminist !

bleh. i don't know. i'm too nervous and rushed to write anything good- i have meetings from 11-3 today, both redundant in one way or another. one specifies that a boxed lunch will be provided, but it's most assuredly a red bell pepper stuffed with a green bell pepper for the vegetarians (aka me). i actually told the guy running these meetings that i'm allergic to bell peppers (not a lie. well, a lie. but i would rather eat any of the stuff i'm allergic to !) but i am willing to bet $9,000,000,000000,00,00000,000,000.47 that he forgot.

sorry this entry is so grumpy and negative. i'm really, really, really, really scared.

p.s. clark park is closed for renovation ! boooo.
p.p.s. jeanne's show is tomorrow !

i say that every hour

first update from my new laptop ! i'm at home today because i got the brilliant idea to try to find a suitable schoolbag in my closet last night and got the worst dust allergy attack ever. my sleep patterns have been iffy at best lately, but i had watery stinging eyes/sinus pain/tooth pain (a weird allergy symptom i get)/a runny nose/an itchy throat until 5am or so. the worst part is that i didn't find a suitable bag. actually wait the worst part is that i feel like shit !

allergies"

yesterday i heard back about my transfer credits. out of 20 possible credits, seven will transfer. i expected zero, so that is really encouraging ! work will pay for me to take six credits a year, so 7 credits takes a whole year off of my school career. the only trick here is that i have to get the syllabuses for those seven classes so they can determine if they fulfill requirements or if they're electives. surprisingly, i tracked down 4 of them within hours, and the other 3 are allegedly on their way- i had to get current syllabuses because um... i took the classes 9 years ago, but they accept those.

after work, i met up with mouse at green line (where i had a vegan chicken salad sandwich and giant iced coffee). before he got there, this dude came up to the counter behind me and said, "do you guys have any SKIN MILK??????" and i cracked up in the dude's face and was horrified by how rude i was being and then it made me laugh even harder so i was just like... laughing like a maniac for five or so minutes. ahhhh. it's still making me laugh to think about it ! mouse and i went on a short walk and got subpar fruit at supreme and a hairbrush at cvs.

nectarines

and thennnnnnn when i came home, i transferred all of my music onto my new laptop, installed some programs on it, filled out my refund form for the free ipod i got with the laptop (i sent it to my mom) and did some other junk.

two more things !

1) i need comfortable and cute walking shoes. i need shoes that are as close to being barefoot as possible (that aren't those shoes with the individual toes), and are good for wide feet. the most comfortable shoes i've ever had, the birkenstock annapolis, are like $170 everywhere or on ebay but not in my size (i accidentally won a pair that are too big). i might go with the birkenstock eden?

birkenstock

2) i start school tomorrow and i'm really fucking scared. i'm nervous about like... every possible aspect of everything, from not being smart enough to the professor not liking me to the desks being uncomfortable for fat people. ugh.

anywayyyy blehhhhhhhh blehaslkdajslkgg wish me luck bleh.

just me and my baby

what's up dudes ! i had my first iced coffee in weeks (after my early spring cornholioing) and am psyched now ! what's up ! hey !

i didn't update yesterday because i called out of work. reunion finally caught up to me. i called out at 7:30 and went back to sleep and slept until like 2:30, which is a feat for me. i'm not that much of a sleeper and i never sleep that late.

garshoo

on tuesday night, mouse came over so we could get caught up on doctor who. we watched the first episode of the weeping angel two parter. i was a little bummed because they brought back both the angels and the doctor's wife, which makes me think that this entire season will just be a rehashing of the previous seasons (and like, doctor who involves a certain amount of rehashing by nature, but do they really need to bring back cool original stuff and turn it into the next daleks or cyberman?). that said, the first part was pretty good. the part where amy was in the trailer with the angel video was genuinely scary, and there were some super funny moments.

weeping angels

i'm not really sold on matt smith yet but i'm learning to like him. i thought david tennant did a great job but i was never a HUGE fan or anything, so maybe i'm just overly critical of new doctors.

mouse also seems to be doing well. he apparently is not as bendy as the last time he went to yoga, so i'm not sure WHEN he'll achieve his ultimate yoga goal, which is sucking a gallon of water up his ass.

after that, christina caught up on gossip girl and i tormented her while she watched it, as usual. this time i made a gossip girl twitter for our apartment. it's been a little rough because i've only seen like 5 episodes and i'm usually talking while they're on. now that i've gotten the hang of it though i may have to add mouse into the mix or maybe mention myself because christina and pizza don't really do that much intriguing shit.

xoxo
the blonde gossip girl is the most beautiful gossip girl of them all

yesterday i slept all day and kind of did nothing all day. i watched some DVR'd futurama (kind of a bummer, i haven't mastered fast forwarding yet so i occasionally see commercials for comedy central stuff and my brain melts a little) and checked out my class schedule for summer online. i haven't been back to school in awhile, is it normal for them to change class times 29382039 times?

i initially signed up for two classes, and my schedule was like this:

MW 6:30pm-8:45pm Elementary German I
TR 6:00pm-7:00pm History of the United States to 1865

that's pretty good, right? four days a week, but only one class per night and only one late night ! but when i checked yesterday, the german class had been changed, so my schedule was:

MTWR 7:30-8:45 Elementary German I
TR 6:00pm-7:00pm History of the United States to 1865

sooooo now the german class is every day, so i have 2 classes per night 2 days a week (which makes those nights a total bust) and one class in the middle of the evening for no reason on the other 2 nights. don't get me wrong, i'm not complaining about a few hours of free school a week, but i was definitely trying to ease myself back in and picked a comfortable, easy schedule that wouldn't immediately ruin the social life i'm pretending i have as the premise of this complaint !

jeez.

before you feel too sorry for me, this is also a six week summer session. and they're online classes so i don't even have to wear pants.

i'm back at work now, finishing a few things up. today is my yearly review and i'm oddly nervous. i know that i've been um, crankier in the past few months, and i've also been uncooperative with my annoying coworker, but i don't think it should be a big deal. probably? since i have extreme anxiety i can only be sure that i am going to get the most fired and most criticized ever, even if i didn't do anything wrong, but it did take me awhile to come up with those two criticisms of my performance. i guess my biggest fear about a review is my boss bringing up a shortcoming i wasn't even aware of? but i can't imagine that if i was truly fucking up, she wouldn't have talked to me already.

anxiety !

that picture reminds me that i was talking to my aunt about my anxiety a couple of years ago, which i referred to as cyclical anxiety, and she said it sounded just like her. and also now refers to it as her sickle cell anxiety by accident.

p.s. will one of you tell me what happens on lost when it's over so i don't have to watch it?

Monday, May 17, 2010

i'm free

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it's over ! it's finally over ! i had to work all weekend, which is kind of a bummer, because i'm already back at work and i feel like i just left work. on thursday we set everything up, and registration opened on friday. we were in a new building with much more space, but there were some logistical problems there (like, we had to use their wireless, which blew, and WE had a lot less room because of how the tables were set up), but it ended up being okay. generally the registration team are cool people (not a coincidence, since i have to be there with them all weekend and pick the team based on who i'd want to hang out with for 25 hours). i was there til 10pm, but we had free food and a good pandora playlist which was basically like a really good oldies station, so it wasn't too bad.

welcome alumni

on saturday, i worked from 7 to 6:30, which was kind of brutal. saturday was super, super, super busy and that was the day we had some difficult people. i think everything worked out okay, but registration closed at 4pm and people were hounding me until 6:30, chasing me down while i was carrying big armloads of stuff and big awkward sign posts, etc. i thought i would never get out of there and i was super exhausted ! but at a quarter to 7 i headed home and met up with christina, who was also exhausted from volunteering at a girls rock philly related event and hanging out with amber at art star. so jealous ! if i wasn't working i definitely would have gone.

art star

we both decided to "take a nap" at 9pm and we both woke up at 4am. we IM'd each other for a minute, and then christina went back to sleep. i ended up sleeping from 7am-11am or so. jeez. i guess i took for granted the amount that a few extra hours of sleep on saturday morning counts since i didn't get it that day.

when we got up, i leveled solanas to 60 and did part of zul'gurub with paul. i've never really seen any of the bosses besides the raptor and tiger bosses so that was kinda cool ! then christina and i went to target. i wasn't really sure if i needed anything, but i thought i'd check out their plus size section because i saw a few cute/wearable things online. guess what though, guys ! the plus size section was 2 racks of clothing, unmarked, in the middle of maternity. it was like 3 cardigans, a sundress, 4 pairs of stretch pants, and maybe one ugly rayon dress?

bullshit
above: some bullshit

i might actually like... write them a letter about it? philadelphia is a fat city, and there was like 2309823 fat people at target, and i think if they actually had all of the nice stuff they have online in the store, attractively presented and marked with a sign, people would buy it? the target on delaware avenue is kind of a mess anyway, but like... why should a maternity section be so expansive compared to a plus size section? so many more people are fat than pregnant. and why should the plus size section be in the center of maternity? i did buy this dress online from them last week with a gift card, and i hope it works out:

target dress

we also went to the grocery store, and then came home and chilled out for a little bit. i guess the most exciting thing (if exciting is the right word) is that i guess i'm quitting warcraft. my last friend who played (who i played with most often) canceled his account and uninstalled the game, and there isn't really much for me to do now

spirit healer
RIP harridan

i have very mixed mostly bad emotions about this right now because like... that's what i did to avoid all of my real life problems ! and now i don't have an excuse/crutch anymore ! like, i really really do genuinely enjoy playing, but i did play slightly more than i'd be naturally inclined to because it was like... something to do where i was interacting with friends but didn't have to leave the house. i'm not even sure how to talk about it because people are so weird about warcraft (like, somehow think it's nerdier than other video games or that people get ADDICTED !!!!!!!!! to it and a couple in china let their baby DIE while they were playing and omgomgomgomg) but the reality is that it's like... a video game that is fun, and everyone plays video games.

full disclosure, though i hate discounting my feelings because of hormones- i actually forgot to take my birth control for 3 days so i think i'm having a uh, heightened emotional reaction. i'm bummed that i won't get to talk to those friends as much, if at all, and i'm bummed that i'm going to have all of this dangerous time to think about eating disorder stuff and general weird hide-y feelings where i want to stay in my house all the time.

deranged hermit

and not to segue from my crappy year of depression to OMG HAYYYYY but while i was at work this weekend, the bottom of my rootote split. after looking for a similarly huge bag online and not finding anything i loved (annnnnd not wanting to pay $45 for another rootote- i got my other one for $14.99), christina offered to make me a tote bag. she let me pick out fabric from her... fabrics, and i picked these:

green
green corduroy outside

amy butler wallflower
this amy butler stuff inside

i'm pretty excited because the bags she makes are the shit. if she has time, she's going to make some to sell, and i'll let you dogs know what the deal is.

list of things i can do instead of being a hermit
- hang out with christina more
- hang out with mouse more and GO TO HIS HOUSE
- ride my bike and go outside more
- make new girlfriends
- go look at the dogs at the dog bowl
- do stuff like read and knit, but OUTSIDE
- volunteer somewhere

okay, i'm going to go because i have a ton of stuff to do today- it's taken me like three hours to write this cause i keep getting interrupted ! bleh !

p.s. big ups to christina for lending me her blanky and alpaca when i was crying last night !
p.p.s. jeanne and mouse are both back today and i'm soooooooooooo psyched. jeanne saw so many good animals in colombia and apparently, according to text, mouse "hugged a naked lady".

if you liked it then you should have put a thing on it

hayyyy. yesterday was pretty cool ! i had to work a little late, but afterward mouse came over. i've been feeling kind of bummed and anxious lately and i think spending time with people is the uh, ointment i need. christina has been doing a good job of hanging out with me and listening to all my stupid jokes (and doing stuff like absentmindedly singing, "ooh vaginas are a place on girls" in the hallway to the tune of the belinda carlisle song).

we mostly ate food and watched DVR'd simpsons episodes (including one of the alltime worst episodes, the one with tony hawk where bart gets emancipated):

bart sad

we got chinese food, but i just got soup because i wasn't really hungry. christina came home while we were hanging out and she did a little spinning and laughed at like, every single thing marge said or did (which is cute, because i always say marge reminds me of christina's bff jess).

we also watched part of the 11th inning of the phillies/giants game !!! it was 5-5, and i'd like to give a shoutout to my man eugenio velez for playing like a chump

velez

and giving us two runs.

after that, i tanked an icc10 on my paladin ! we got up through the plague quarter but couldn't get putricide down- one of the healers had to split, and one of the dps kept getting disconnected. i didn't do perfectly, but i think i did okay, and i learned about some paladin shit i was too lazy to learn before ! haha. i get too embarrassed to ask questions sometimes (related to being a woman- i'm afraid people will think i'm a shitty player or dumb because i'm a woman, but it's actually cause i'm a lazy player ! and i get pre-emptively indignant), and people call paladin abilities by nicknames (plus all the abilities are some combination of holy, divine, hammer, and light), so when people ask me to use (insert nickname of spell) i never know what to do.

saltpeter
saltpeter on the outskirts of dalaran

what else? oh yeah, i wanted to talk about the biggest injustice in world history. mike linked me to this article about bizarre victorian taxidermied things that sold at auction when a museum of weird victorian shit closed down, and this sasquatch sold for $1000:

sasquatch

i could totally fucking afford that and NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT IT UNTIL AFTER THE AUCTION. why is this life !

tonight is knitting group + 25 man raid. i'm excited because christina told me that her coworker, kathleen, is coming tonight, and kathleen is cool ! plus maybe some of the actual group members will be there tonight and i'll make even more friends ! and we're finally moving on to tougher content in our 25 mans because we have new recruits, so i'm excited !

p.s. jess also linked me to this earlier. female fronted punk rock mix tape, 1977-1989. download it, get psyched, be a woman (or an ally to women).
p.p.s. last night i heard a tom waits song on tv and i thought it was everlast.

first you stick a rag, put it in the bag, bump bump

i want to start this entry with a quick list of things i'm not into. i was reminded of this the other day when an acquaintance suggested that i might love an internet comic strip. i think as a fat girl who opts for mostly dark colored clothing (this is not a style choice but a choice determined by fat girl clothes makers who only make stuff in black, pastel, or grimace purple (which does not work if you are the general shape of grimace)), a lot of people make a few common mistakes about my interests/personality.

hated it !!!

things i am not into
- cherries, skulls, bettie page, that emily strange thing, any kind of dumb rockabilly stuff or mall goth stuff
- anime or like... 75% of japanese pop culture stuff
- internet humor, internet slang ('fail', the baffling contingent who thinks 'ftw' means anything but 'fuck the world', lolcats), internet comic strips (achewood, xkcd, that dinosaur one, etc.)
- stand up comedy (i do like patton oswalt, but that's like... it), british comedy like monty python, eddie izzard, the IT crowd, etc.
- any kind of vampire besides dracula (no vampires with sunglasses, jobs, love interests that aren't pure bloodlust, etc.)

my next installment will include a list of things i am into. maybe i'll do that this afternoon if i get bored !

yesterday i was profoundly depressed because i've been screwing up my birth control schedule (i forgot it monday, took two tuesday, forgot wednesday, took one randomly yesterday morning...?).

microgestin

i didn't make the connection though, i was like, "welppppppp, life suddenly sucks and i have no friends and everything sucks and everyone hates me and i hate everyone" until that night. christina met me after work to take an exciting trip to cvs with me (wooooo cat litter), and mouse graciously came over to keep me company and give me long hugs. hormones are fucking weird. taking these has lessened my anxiety a lot but since i started taking them i've been pretty bummed and lethargic and tired all the time. maybe i'll talk to my doctor about other anxiety management stuff, though i'll be sad to say goodbye to all the indiscriminate rawdogging microgestin has afforded me.

rawdogs

this weekend should be fun- nick and sandi are probably coming down from nyc to stay with us tonight. it's going to pour so i think we're playing a board game? apples to apples? christina explained it and it sounds like i can't cheat so i'm not sure i'll have fun. on saturday, mouse and i are going to continue our theme and watch enemy at the gates. i'll also see if i can get mike around, and diana should be in town doing hair.

oh ! i forgot to mention this, but no one was really on to raid last night so we did a 10 man and i had the best time? i was totally exhausted but we had a really good group with almost no duds and talking to everyone on vent was fun. i got to show off my french skills (i know three colors, man, woman, and i can count to two but i couldn't remember one) to the two french canadians who were in the group. one of them also told me that in quebec, the simpsons is called 'les simpsons'.
