when i got home from work yesterday, some random people were planting a tree in my yard ! i didn't say anything to them about it because i don't actually care why they were doing it. i asked them if they wanted a drink and they declined, though !
they were working in our neighbor's yard, too, so i assume it has something to do with when our neighbor's tree fell in our yard during the blizzard. that's all conjecture, though, cause as i said, i was too lazy to ask them !
later, mouse and i went to the park for awhile because it was super nice out. he uh, mostly talked about urban dictionary sex stuff because i accidentally inspired a purely academic interest in him on this subject by trying to figure out what a carl's jr would be while i was in california.

when i got home, i decided to begin my first sock. the pattern i chose is really cute but it has all this hard shit i don't know in it ! like, for instance, i don't know how to make a sock, and i haven't done much colorwork, and toe up socks start with all the hard shit.
for some reason last night i was really having trouble with the magic loop? like, i know how it works, but my brain wasn't processing it, so it took me like 30 tries to get it going in the right direction. also, knitting something tiny hurts my eyes and hands and now i totally understand why all grandmas are blind and arthritic and crazy. i had to use christina's special lamp thing and i also kept having to take my glasses off and put them back on because i hold my knitting ALMOST at the point where i can see (i'm farsighted) but not quite. ugh !
i'm also very nervous because christina is going to boston tomorrow so if i have any questions she will be incommunicado ! well, actually, she will be... communicado cause she has a laptop and an iphone, but i'm going to try not to bug her. anyway, here's my toe:

my plans for the rest of 2010
- ride my bike and walk around for the summer/fall
- never wear a bra again (this will be tough in the summer- right now i'm wearing a tank top that seems like it will get gross in the heat)
- travel at least one other place (possibly outside of pennsylvania?!)
- learn to knit better
- eat at least 4 meals a week outside
- be less crazy
