ahhhh i left my cellphone at home today ! i don't know why i've been so forgetful about it lately- weirdest.

yesterday i worked late and cleaned up the kitchen when i got home. christina like... deep cleaned the floors and stove over the weekend so it was like literally the least i could do. i made hamburger helper with veggie crumbles (aka salt with salt) and hung out in the livingroom and answered some work e-mails. sounds exciting, right?



the big intrigue last night was that pizza wasn't acting like herself and we were getting super worried ! she was walking kind of low to the ground and refusing to get on the couch with us and kind of sadly crouching on the ground. she even did a mournful meow ! i checked her out and she didn't seem to have any sore spots, her belly wasn't hard, uh, her b-hole looked okay, her ears were clean, her nose was cold and wet, and she was eating and drinking and pooping, but seriously she was acting really weird !



after awhile, and with the help of the internet, we ascertained that she is probably hunting a mouse or a bug and it has her on edge. mama's little baby !

i decided not to raid so i could spend some quality time with christina and get some work done. we spent most of the night being worked up and hysterical and making fun of what not to wear which included christina saying, "oh my god, what if stacy london was a cat?" and me conjecturing that maybe pizza's soul was in our bodies and our souls were in hers. that isn't a thing that happens though !

after that, i leveled my priest a little bit. we're already almost level 50 because the refer a friend bonus is such an insane cheat- we get 3x xp for turning in quests if we're near each other. paul is just running us through dungeons and stuff with one of his alts- we've essentially done almost no real quests so far.

we have another set to level to 60 (we each referred each other), but that may have to wait until after this event is over. i'm really enjoying it so far because i barely have to do anything.

i have to go do a training for registration for this event now buhhhhhhh talk to you later !

oh man. yesterday christina made a tortilla de patatas for us for dinner, and it was the besttttttt. if you don't know what that is, here is the wiki ! but don't bother to go there because i'm going to tell you what it is ! it's like... sort of between an omelette and a quiche? it's a big egg thing with potatoes and onions in it.



i was super exhausted when i got home so i dozed off for awhile and woke up to a text saying my tortilla de patatas was ready, which clearly indicates that i have the best roommate. while we ate dinner we watched king of queens episodes that i DVR'd. i'm sure i've mentioned it, but i'm weirdly into "king of queens". i think kevin james is the cutest/nicest, and also i think the show is genuinely funny. i also like that the couple on the show is realistically working class? haha. like if they have to get a home repair done that costs $400 they freak out and have to borrow money or can't go to the dentist.



unfortunately though, for how much i love it, i'll never be able to keep up with the DVR because it's seriously on tv like 8 times a day? on two different channels ! i feel like i'm being crushed under the weight of my crappy tv interests now. maybe this weekend i'll make an effort to watch as many episodes as i can !

after dinner, i leveled my priest with paul for awhile. he signed on his paladin and carted me and his warrior around on his grand ice mammoth (which is a mount with 2 extra seats so you can bring friends along):

and we did ragefire chasm and wailing caverns and got from level 14 to level 23 in a couple of hours. jesus christ, wailing caverns takes forever ! i still had a good time, but i didn't get a raptor hatchling.

i appreciate everyone's feedback yesterday about online classes. the overall impression that i'm getting is that they're easy but by no means super super easy, and that the people in the classes will be mature, but there will probably be some infuriating boneheads. that sounds reasonable ! the only thing i'm worried about now is like... how do i know what books to get? i haven't been in school in so long that i can't remember how to find this stuff out.



i'm only worried because i'm a little lazy and i might forget to check if i am not explicitly told where and when to look. actually, i just read what i wrote and it sounds like a baby going to college so i'm going to make an effort to like do the basic things i need to do to have a life and take care of myself.

oh ! oh ! hey ! remember how a few weeks ago, i was talking about the mcelrath salty dog chocolate bar? i got a bunch of them while i was in sacramento at the nugget market grocery store, and i can't find them anywhere in philly. anyway, i checked my mail yesterday and found this package from caroline:



i seriously burst into tears when i opened it because it was so thoughtful- i'd JUST been talking about this chocolate bar to someone else the night before, and to have two randomly appear in my mailbox was like... the best, sweetest thing ever. caroline is the best.

i guess i should get some work done now. busyyyy week, next week will be twice as busyyyyy, and then i have to work all weekend. this weekend, i plan to mostly chillax and hang out with mouse before he goes on tour. hayyyy.

i have to make this quick because i have a meeting in 20 minutes ! i was vaguely freaking out because i was asked at the last minute to explain something i don't know about at the meeting, but i figured it out and it should be fine, unless people ask me serious questions. basically, it's a thing you have to take a training class to do so no one else can do it without the class (literally, they won't have permission in our system), and i took the class last year but i only use one facet of the training, and i have to explain the other one i haven't thought about since the class. vague and boring, i know !

yesterday i had this big plan to drop my laundry off and go to the grocery store and stuff after work, so i got a car and went to pick up my cellphone at work (where i'd left it) and realized that i'd left my laundry at home. ahhhh. unfortunately i am super stubborn about backtracking, so basically i paid $10 for a car (and $10 to put gas in it because the last person left it empty !) to get my phone from work and pick up my birth control at cvs, which factually would be like.. a 20 minute walk. boooooo.

i don't really know why i'm so stubborn about backtracking. like, if i leave to go to the bank to deposit a check and realize i forgot to bring the check, i will just turn around and go home and go do it some other day. once i lock my apartment door and get outside, i refuse to go back in. raining with no umbrella? guess i'm getting soaked. grocery store with no list? guess i'm getting pop tarts and v8 !



yesterday was a good day at work- i had a ton of stuff on my to-do list and i finished everything but two things. i was super exhausted when i got home but i willed myself to stay awake, which ended in me going to bed at 9:30pm and uh, waking up at 11:30pm. before and after i went to sleep, i leveled my priest a little with paul and got some BoA gear. have i told you guys about my character names? my main is a rogue named harridan (a shrew-like woman !), my paladin is named saltpeter (potassium nitrate, which people believed was given to soldiers to keep them from getting boners), and now my priest is named solanas, after ye olde valerie solanas, author of the scum manifesto.



bleh. this morning i had to go pick up parking passes for my event, and i stopped and got my coworkers munchkins (fun fact: when i worked at dunkin donuts, almost every single person called these "munchkin holes" when they ordered them instead of munchkins or donut holes) and it was like, the biggest mistake ever. it's a mixture between

1) WHERE DID THESE COME FROM WHO BROUGHT THESE WHERE DID THESE COME FROM WHAT ARE THEY FOR???????
and
2) OH MY GOD THIS IS SO BAD I'M SO BAD WHO BROUGHT THESE THIS IS SOOOOOO BAD OMGGG CHOCOLATE OMG CATHY THIS IS SOOOOO BAD I'M SO BADDDDDDDDDDDD UGH

ultimate regret ! okay, i have to go to that meeting now. blehhhh.
